2024 Travel Dates Of Note:
February Midterm (February 9-13, 2024) - early AM leave
March Spring Break (March 8-April 1, 2024) – leave begins after 1:00PM
The Brentwood travel portal will close the SUNDAY before a leave, any travel requests or changes after this date will have to be arranged by the student/parents. These are alternate transportation companies the school recommends:

Early Leave or Late Return Requests
Requests for early leave or late return must be submitted in advance.
Extended leave requests—where the student is missing two (2) or more days of academic classes—should be brought to the attention of Deputy Head - Student Life Liam Sullivan (liam.sullivanbrentwood.ca). Short leave requests—missing fewer than two days of school—should go to that student's Houseparent for approval. In the event the request is approved, the School will provide transportation, if available (charge applicable). If school transportation is not available, the student/parents will be notified and will be responsible for booking and paying for the taxi.
Student Charges
No Charge for regular scheduled leave day and time - to Victoria Airport, Nanaimo/Victoria Ferry Terminals, or Nanaimo/Victoria Harbour Air.
Approved early leave/late return or travel outside of a break - $120/person one way to Victoria Harbour ($75/person for 2-3 travellers, $50/person for 4+ travellers, siblings travelling together pay one charge). $140 one way to Victoria Swartz Bay, Victoria Airport, Nanaimo Departure Bay, Nanaimo Harbour ($65/person for 2-3 travellers, $40/person for 4+ travellers, siblings travelling together pay one charge).
Encore Car Service - $157.50 to Airport/Ferry (Victoria or $136.50 - Nanaimo) - this charge is the students responsibility and will be charged to the students account.
If a student's name is on the bus list and they do not show up or communicate, they will be charged for the trip.
Students traveling home with extra luggage are responsible to check and pay for their bags when they check in online. The School is not responsible for paying for checked bags.
IELTS, ACT exams, passport trips, Medical/Psychological Assessments and other miscellaneous trips will be billed at $65/hour.
Medical Appointments
Doctors, Specialists, Dentists, Orthodontists, Eye-care, Massage, Chiropractor, Physiotherapy, etc.
Within the Cowichan Valley (Mill Bay - Shawnigan - Cobble Hill - Duncan) - $65 round trip
Victoria - $90 round trip (within 3 hours) +$30/hour for additional time.
Appointments outside of the Cowichan Valley or Victoria will be billed at the hourly rate, $65/hr.
